My name is Yasmin, but please call me YAS!

Before we connect let me introduce myself…

I’m a professional Makeup artist that specializes in fashion and bridal makeup. I’ve been in the beauty industry for the past 10 years and started my career in my origin country, Brazil, until I moved to the United States in 2017.

I’ve been obsessed with makeup since I was 9 years old. I grew up with a huge influence of American pop culture. Britney Spears, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, JLo and pretty much all the pop divas made a big impact in my life. I was obsessed with music videos and that’s how my interest for beauty/makeup started. Back in 2003 I asked my mom to take my first makeup class so I could learn how to do my own makeup to go to school and also because I wanted to look like Britney Spears.

Besides the fact that I wear makeup everyday since I was 9 years old, I was such a Tom boy growing up and a shy girl. That changed In 2008 when my mom “forced” me to take some acting classes since public speaking would freak me out. It didn’t take too long and I felt in love for acting and theater.

I thought that I would be a professional actress and do soap operas in Brazil as career. When I was half way to the end at the University program, during a makeup class directed to theatrical makeup, my teacher Cyntia saw my potential and encouraged me to start doing makeup professionally part time until my acting career would “take off”. I started doing makeup and offering classes to friends and family members. Everything grew pretty fast and when I realized I was establishing my name and business. At that point, I was super divided between acting and makeup, but I still got my bachelors in dramatic arts and not too long after, I decided to listen to my intuition and pursue in the makeup industry.
